Anania Bailey: Branding

I had been working for this Westbrook, ME based agency for a year, handling their branding projects, when they approached me to rebrand their business. They wanted a logo that reflects their plans for growth and builds trust in the agency.

We kicked off the project with some branding sessions to look at competitor logos in the area and work on brand positioning. The logo must be flexible in implementation due to the mediums and channels the agency uses.

Development / Iteration:

For the first few rounds of logo design, I played with some versions of AB that represented the joining of a new partnership. As it often happens during the early stages of a branding project, we learned what doesn’t work while we carried the successful part of the design into the next round allowing us to focus in on the ideal style.

Final Implementation:

The final logo is simple, impactful and flexible. With a wide range of patterns, elements and orientations. Each of these lockups are recognizable in different uses, allowing the agency to show off its identity in any medium.

This flexibility allows the brand to be used in both a formal and informal way that appeals to a wide range of clients and markets. The brand has solid elements that will allow it to adjust and adapt to any future uses; creating a brand that is adaptable as the agency grows.
